Reporter OpportunitiesLandex Research, Inc. regularly hires individuals for the purpose of reporting potential new cases to our office. A reporter’s job is to go to the probate division of a local courthouse and review current estate filings that are opened daily. The goal is to quickly identify and report new probate estate matters in which some or all of the potential beneficiaries are either missing or unknown. While reviewing files, a reporter will use specific criteria that we provide to make the process simple. Timing is very important since other research companies are reviewing files as well. A courthouse reporter job is perfect for an individual who regularly spends time at a courthouse engaging in other business activities and has the desire to earn extra money on the side. Reviewing files on a regular basis often takes just a few short minutes to complete. When a reporter identifies and sends a potential new case to our office, our staff of expert researchers reviews the case thoroughly. Once we determine that the case is good, we work to locate and contact the missing beneficiaries, who in most cases are unaware of their legal entitlement to the estate funds. When these missing individuals become our clients and ultimately receive an inheritance, we receive a contingent finder’s fee and the reporter receives a substantial commission for advising our office of the case. Commissions are based on a percentage of the amount distributed to our clients and are paid upon distribution of the estate. It is not unusual for a reporter to make several thousand dollars on a single case. Some of our best reporters are former clients who are familiar with how we do business.
